This exhibition features the work of Caroline Walker:
This exhibition invites viewers to reflect on the intricate web of human connection—the ways our individual journeys intertwine, overlap, and shape one another across time. Through a series of sculptures and two-dimensional works, the show explores the universal experience of growth, transformation, and interdependence.
Sculptural installations, including a floor-standing village of houses on stilts linked by ladders and stairs, and larger-than-life wall-mounted figures woven together with chains, serve as metaphors for the routes we traverse and the bonds we form along the way. Two-dimensional works complement these structures, offering alternative perspectives on connection, resilience, and legacy. Rust patinas on select sculptures evoke the passage of time, reminding us of the enduring imprints left by those who came before—and the ones we leave behind.
Visitors are invited to embark on a journey of exploration and introspection. As they navigate the physical spaces defined by interwoven structures, they are encouraged to reflect on their own life paths and the connections they have forged. Interactive elements foster a tactile, immersive experience, emphasizing participation, engagement, and a sense of shared humanity.
Ultimately, the exhibition offers a visual meditation on the complexities of human relationships. It serves as a reminder of the importance of empathy, understanding, and connection in a world where disconnection is increasingly common calling on each of us to recognize the threads that link us, and the legacy we leave behind.
